About the role
- Senior Research Engineer developing mechanical designs for engine demonstrators at GKN Aerospace. Leading technology integration and collaborating across engineering disciplines in aeronautics.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the different phases of product technology development with your expertise in mechanical design and definition.
- Responsible for the design of components/systems for engine demonstrators, balancing the input from different disciplines to create designs that meet or exceed requirements and technology targets.
- Integrate new technologies into future product solutions.
- Identify technology gaps and opportunities for new technology development.
- Create and update design data in TeamCenter and NX (drawings, CAD models, interfaces).
Requirements
- Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design. Experience in aerospace is a plus.
- Experience in product or technology development in cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of NX and TeamCenter (meritorious).
- Solid understanding of GD&T
- Experience with design for manufacturing. Additive manufacturing is a plus.
- Experience with MBSE is an advantage.
- Fluency in Swedish and English.
