About the role

  • Associate Sensory Analyst at Givaudan leveraging expertise in Fragrance Technology for product development and innovation. Collaborate across teams to deliver competitive advantage in fragrance and flavors.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly laboratory environment in accordance with EHS guidelines
  • Serve as a technical contact point for defined projects
  • Collaborate across functions and with customers to ensure continuity of support
  • Monitor costs related to tasks and flag variances
  • Provide advanced technical support to Development / Commercial / S&T teams
  • Solve routine technical problems
  • Plan, organize, and execute projects under supervision
  • Observe and document experimental results
  • Manage and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Apply technical expertise to design and execute innovative demo concepts
  • Conduct basic market profiling and benchmarking
  • Contribute to innovation and technical improvements
  • Apply scientific expertise in own area to support projects
  • Apply smelling abilities to assess fragrance performance
  • Supervise / mentor Interns or Technicians
  • Share expertise and provide on-the-job guidance

Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant scientific discipline, such as Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
  • Experience of fragrance / FMCG industries, +3 years
  • Project management experience
  • Good knowledge of fragrance and/or FMCG science and technologies
  • IP Awareness
  • Scientific / analytical skills / knowledge in area of specialty
  • Ability to interpret experimental results, suggest next round of experiments and develop new methods
  • Knowledge of consumer product formulations (e.g., fabric care, personal care, home care) and related processing methodologies
  • Good knowledge of lab equipment, materials and supplies needed to conduct scientific experiments
  • Good understanding of a scientific documentation protocol
  • Good knowledge of EHS guidelines as they pertain to lab maintenance and operation
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent in English and at least one local language (e.g., Hindi)
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions; ability to problem-solve
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel/Sheets) for reporting, data analysis, and presentations
