Lead Engineer overseeing planning and execution of subsystem work for wind turbine programs. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success from conception to product sunset.
Responsibilities
Own the planning and execution of subsystem work portfolio including subsystem deliverables, budget, resource identification, and priority discussions for New Product Introduction programs from conception through product sunset
Own subsystem NPI schedule structure and fidelity
Coordinate execution of deliverables and detailed schedule dependencies with Systems Program Managers and Subsystem Integrators to align plans and escalate visibility to critical path activities
Assure timely resolution of issues, keep the stakeholders advised of the progress of the program, and negotiate changes, variations, solutions to issues
Lead multiple programs in parallel from conception through field validation
Explain difficult or sensitive information; work to build consensus
Use the latest tools and methods to facilitate world class operational rigor for the team
Drive simplification and standardization of best practices into program execution
Manage cross-platform programs for the Machine Head subsystem
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university or similar
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Program Management, Renewable Energy Engineering or related fields
Ability to break-down complex issues, determine possible courses of action, and enable effective decision making
Ability to prioritize information, using analytical thinking for decision making
Technical aptitude and familiarity with industrial-scale projects or products
System or product-level mindset
Effective oral and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Established project management skills
In-depth knowledge of GE Vernova internal standards for product development
