About the role

  • Lead Engineer overseeing planning and execution of subsystem work for wind turbine programs. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success from conception to product sunset.

Responsibilities

  • Own the planning and execution of subsystem work portfolio including subsystem deliverables, budget, resource identification, and priority discussions for New Product Introduction programs from conception through product sunset
  • Own subsystem NPI schedule structure and fidelity
  • Coordinate execution of deliverables and detailed schedule dependencies with Systems Program Managers and Subsystem Integrators to align plans and escalate visibility to critical path activities
  • Assure timely resolution of issues, keep the stakeholders advised of the progress of the program, and negotiate changes, variations, solutions to issues
  • Lead multiple programs in parallel from conception through field validation
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information; work to build consensus
  • Use the latest tools and methods to facilitate world class operational rigor for the team
  • Drive simplification and standardization of best practices into program execution
  • Manage cross-platform programs for the Machine Head subsystem

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university or similar
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Program Management, Renewable Energy Engineering or related fields
  • Ability to break-down complex issues, determine possible courses of action, and enable effective decision making
  • Ability to prioritize information, using analytical thinking for decision making
  • Technical aptitude and familiarity with industrial-scale projects or products
  • System or product-level mindset
  • Effective oral and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Established project management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of GE Vernova internal standards for product development
