About the role

• Senior Proposals Manager responsible for leading complex international tenders and managing proposals. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver competitive bids in the energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Review enquiry documents to establish a bid strategy
• Lead the appointed tendering team to deliver the bid in line with agreed bid strategy
• Build and manage tender schedule, lead tender reviews
• Identify and report any issue or deviation to bidding strategy
• Propose mitigation actions and implement corrective actions
• Organize preparation of enquiry documentation and liaise with internal suppliers
• Build up the cost estimate, ensure all costs are properly validated
• Lead preparation of tender documentation in line with bidding strategy
• Develop and maintain relationships with Customers
• Provide leadership during the tender review process
• Propose and implement tendering process improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or proven experience of equivalent level
• Demonstrated years of experience in a large international engineering projects environment
• Proven experience in the successful management of complex tenders
• Proven ability to lead contract negotiations with Customers in an international environment
• Good Knowledge of HVDC / FACTS applications and HV AC Substations
• Good understanding of electrical power system engineering for Utility customers
• High degree of IT Literacy (Excel, Powerpoint, Words, MS project, …) with excellent numerical skills
• Willingness to travel outside of UK (at least once a month)
