About the role
- Senior Proposals Manager responsible for leading complex international tenders and managing proposals. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver competitive bids in the energy sector.
Responsibilities
- Review enquiry documents to establish a bid strategy
- Lead the appointed tendering team to deliver the bid in line with agreed bid strategy
- Build and manage tender schedule, lead tender reviews
- Identify and report any issue or deviation to bidding strategy
- Propose mitigation actions and implement corrective actions
- Organize preparation of enquiry documentation and liaise with internal suppliers
- Build up the cost estimate, ensure all costs are properly validated
- Lead preparation of tender documentation in line with bidding strategy
- Develop and maintain relationships with Customers
- Provide leadership during the tender review process
- Propose and implement tendering process improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or proven experience of equivalent level
- Demonstrated years of experience in a large international engineering projects environment
- Proven experience in the successful management of complex tenders
- Proven ability to lead contract negotiations with Customers in an international environment
- Good Knowledge of HVDC / FACTS applications and HV AC Substations
- Good understanding of electrical power system engineering for Utility customers
- High degree of IT Literacy (Excel, Powerpoint, Words, MS project, …) with excellent numerical skills
- Willingness to travel outside of UK (at least once a month)
