About the role
- Senior Data Engineer building data pipelines for business intelligence at Getsafe. Involves designing and maintaining a Data Warehouse platform using tools like SQL and Python in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, and deliver Data Warehouse solutions.
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and Airflow.
- Design, develop, and support Getsafe’s Data Warehouse and BI platform.
- Create ad-hoc applications to support data users and automate processes where possible.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and build solutions.
- Communicate technical and business information effectively through written, verbal, and presentation formats.
Requirements
- Over 4 years+ of experience building data pipelines, particularly in data ingestion, using SQL, Python, and Airflow.
- Strong experience designing Data Marts, Data Warehouses, and relational database objects.
- Hands-on experience running software in the cloud, including infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Highly analytical and organized, able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Nice to have: Understanding of distributed computing and database architecture.
