About the role
- Senior IT Project Manager leading SAP S/4HANA implementations at GETEC. Overseeing project scope, budget, timeline, and quality across various complex international projects.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for SAP S/4HANA implementations, conversions, rollouts and transformation projects
- Management of project scope, schedule, budget, quality and risks using Planview
- Building and leading complex project organizations (internal, external, international)
- Application of traditional, hybrid and agile project management methods (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2, SAFe, Scrum)
- Escalation management and decision-making at management and steering committee level
- Coordination of SAP modules, non‑SAP systems, interfaces, data migration and middleware
- Collaboration with enterprise and solution architects
- Consideration of IT security, data protection (e.g., GDPR), compliance and governance
- Facilitation of workshops, decision sessions and management presentations
- Management of change management and communication activities
- Ensuring user acceptance and sustainable use of solutions
- Selection, management and evaluation of external SAP consulting partners
- Ensuring quality standards, best practices and lessons learned
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field
- Several years of experience (>8–10 years) in IT project management, ideally in the SAP environment
- Solid experience with SAP S/4HANA (Greenfield, Brownfield, Landscape Transformation) and multiple successfully led SAP S/4HANA projects in a senior role
- Knowledge of: system architectures & IT landscapes; interfaces; data migration & master data management; cloud and hybrid architectures
- Basic understanding of: IT security, Identity & Access Management and DevOps and release management processes
- Experience with: project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, SAP Cloud ALM, Planview), reporting & KPI management, and agile scaling frameworks
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a troubleshooter mentality and hands‑on approach
- High assertiveness combined with a diplomatic manner
- Strategic and business-minded thinking
- Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
