About the role

  • Sales Manager responsible for developing product sales across a defined area for Polypipe. Collaborating with teams and managing projects for civils products.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing product sales across a defined geographical area and achieving set area sales budgets
  • Promote the company professionally and positively at all times
  • Develop a strategic network of key contractors and secure project business for the Civils product portfolio
  • Manage key projects from start to completion with regular updates
  • Collaborate with Specification, Developer, Key Account teams, and the wider Polypipe Group
  • Maintain close working relationships with internal departments including sales, technical, and commercial teams
  • Generate technical sales enquiries and convert them into orders
  • Maintain technical competence across the full Civils product range
  • Grow the supply chain by working closely with key merchant groups
  • Report market conditions and competitor activity
  • Maintain a managed project log and provide weekly sales forecasts

Requirements

  • Commercial and technical sales experience
  • Proven record in developing new and existing business
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful pitches
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Adaptable and self-motivated
  • Strong IT skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must have a valid UK Driving Licence
