About the role

• Technical Writer in Unified Content Services team creating user-friendly content and documentation. Collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure accurate and accessible information in both French and English.

Responsibilities

• Understand complex technical concepts by testing software and conducting interviews with developers, sales engineers, and technical support agents
• Collaborate with product managers to make our offerings easier to use and reduce reliance on exhaustive documentation
• Work as part of a team, write in an accessible style, and collaborate with content creators across the organization to develop and document content guidelines
• Gather and incorporate feedback from internal and external customers
• Specify, design, and create content (text, graphics, video) for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Create and update other learning materials, such as technical illustrations

Requirements

• You thrive in fast-paced environments and can make sound decisions
• You have prior experience communicating complex technical information to different audiences (beginner, intermediate, and advanced), in text, graphics, or video formats
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete a variety of tasks independently while consistently producing high-quality content
• Excellent interview skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and subject-matter experts
• Strong knowledge of technical writing methods, trends, and technologies such as structured authoring, DITA, single-sourcing, data reuse, etc.
• Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written (this role requires interaction with our international colleagues and clients)
