About the role
- Technical Writer responsible for creating and improving technical documents for VELUX's product offerings. Collaborating with departments to enhance user-oriented documentation and ensuring quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining the currency, quality and structure of our technical documentation and for its conceptual and systematic development (methods, processes, standards)
- Creation, maintenance and continuous improvement of technical documents for our product portfolio, in particular user, operating, assembly and maintenance manuals
- Close collaboration and internal coordination with technical departments, development and service teams
- Coordination of the translation process with the responsible departments and external service providers
- Active participation in the introduction and further development of an editorial/content management system (CMS/CCMS)
Requirements
- Technical vocational training with additional qualification as a Technical Writer or equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience in technical documentation, ideally in visual assembly and user documentation
- Ability to present complex technical information clearly and with a user-oriented focus
- Confident use of common authoring and graphics tools (preferably Adobe CC, SolidWorks, SolidWorks Composer)
- Experience working with editorial/content management systems (CMS/CCMS)
- Excellent German and English skills
- Knowledge of the building supply/construction supplier industry is an advantage
