Supply Chain Specialist responsible for purchasing and inventory management for specific product lines. Collaborating on forecasting and improving supply chain processes in Montreal, Canada.
Responsibilities
Prepare purchase orders, ensuring continuous product availability and on-time delivery to customers
Manage delivery schedules with suppliers and contract manufacturers
Manage supplier relationships
Maintain the production schedule for finished goods and subassemblies in close collaboration with the sales team
Monitor and manage inventory levels across multiple warehouses to ensure consistent supply
Analyze sales forecast and stockout reports to ensure product availability
Maintain communication with the sales team, customer service, and suppliers to relay delivery dates and shipping information
Assist the team in mapping and improving supply chain group processes, including procurement and logistics
Acquire the necessary knowledge to enter and maintain ERP (enterprise resource planning) system parameters
Manage the supplier return process
Coordinate and perform administrative tasks related to the above responsibilities (accounts payable, transaction adjustments, etc.)
Assist Accounts Payable and Logistics in matching shipping manifests with invoices, as needed
Requirements
Two to three years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in production/operations management, logistics, business administration, information systems, or a related field
Self-motivated
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize information
Ability to map processes
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written (this role requires interaction with international colleagues and clients)
