About the role
- Senior Cloud Platform & DevOps Engineer specialized in Azure for GELSENWASSER Energienetze GmbH. Responsibilities include developing Azure platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and automated governance.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical sparring partner for our operations partnership in the ongoing development of our Azure platform
- Evolve existing Azure Landing Zones (Cloud Adoption Framework) using Terraform
- Build and maintain a consistently automated platform
- Design and operate CI/CD pipelines for Azure, Microsoft Power Platform, and Microsoft Fabric
- Support development teams with templates, standards, self-service approaches, and clear guardrails
- Establish logging, metrics, and alerts to ensure operational stability and quality
- Advise and support teams with a focus on simple, secure, and user-friendly development platforms
- Leverage AI tools productively for code, testing, documentation, and reviews
Requirements
- Several years of hands-on experience in Azure and DevOps environments
- Strong understanding of platform, automation, and CI/CD concepts
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, pipelines, and scripting within the Microsoft ecosystem
- Ability to communicate technical topics clearly — both internally and externally
- Self-driven working style, initiative, and enjoyment of hands-on work
