About the role

• Business Intelligence Developer creating SQL queries and reports for operational data. Optimizing data visualizations and working with cross-functional teams for reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Create SQL intermediate level queries, debugging, and optimization.
• Analyze data to identify patterns and trends to support decision making
• Understand business requirements and design data models to provide insightful reports
• Perform and automate daily maintenance processes.
• Integrate PowerBI reports into other applications to provide enhanced business capabilities
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize new and existing processes.
• Develop and test reports and data extracts
• Use advance level calculations using DAX functions and Power Query
• Adhere to development standards and software change management procedures
• Assist with proposing new data strategies and methods to enhance and advance the reporting environment
• Conduct root cause analysis and advanced performance tuning functions
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of reporting solutions
• Document processes and methodologies

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience (SQL developer and data visualization)
• Proficient in Power BI and SQL
• Stakeholder management skills
• Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are required
• Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed
• Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
• Must be able to multi-task
• Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
