About the role
- Business Intelligence Developer creating SQL queries and reports for operational data. Optimizing data visualizations and working with cross-functional teams for reporting solutions.
Responsibilities
- Create SQL intermediate level queries, debugging, and optimization.
- Analyze data to identify patterns and trends to support decision making
- Understand business requirements and design data models to provide insightful reports
- Perform and automate daily maintenance processes.
- Integrate PowerBI reports into other applications to provide enhanced business capabilities
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize new and existing processes.
- Develop and test reports and data extracts
- Use advance level calculations using DAX functions and Power Query
- Adhere to development standards and software change management procedures
- Assist with proposing new data strategies and methods to enhance and advance the reporting environment
- Conduct root cause analysis and advanced performance tuning functions
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of reporting solutions
- Document processes and methodologies
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience (SQL developer and data visualization)
- Proficient in Power BI and SQL
- Stakeholder management skills
- Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are required
- Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information
- Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
