About the role
- PTR Lead Engineer responsible for leading design and development of power transformers and shunt reactors. Collaborating with Technology Team and ensuring compliance with international standards.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading the design and development of power transformers and shunt reactors
- Ensure all work adheres to internal and international standards such as ISO, IEC, and IEEE
- Apply advanced tools including FEA, DFMEA, and root cause analysis (RCA) to optimize designs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high-quality, reliable solutions
- Collaborate with the Technology Team
- Conduct failure analysis using RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to resolve design-related issues effectively
- Regularly travel to manufacturing units, conferences, and customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Proven experience in transformer development and design
- Strong knowledge of FEA tools, particularly for electromagnetic analysis, and experience with design failure analysis tools (DFMEA, RCA).
- Familiarity with internal and international standards (ISO, IEC, IEEE) and industry best practices in transformer design.
- Proficiency in CAD tools and the ability to develop and optimize designs according to customer requirements and applicable regulations.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and interact with clients.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Proactive, self-motivated, able to work independently or in a team, and enthusiastic about continuous improvement and professional development.
- Efficient organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to travel and experience in international environments.
