About the role

  • Lab Engineer supporting Government activities in Herndon, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD. Responsibilities include system design, implementation, and maintaining security of lab environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support Government activities in Herndon, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD
  • Design and implement Windows domain and child domain architectures
  • Analyze customer functional requirements to develop system requirements specifications and implement designed solutions
  • Guide customers in formulating requirements, advising alternative approaches, and conducting feasibility studies
  • Design and define system architecture for new or existing computer systems
  • Provide technical leadership regarding the integration of requirements, design, and technology
  • Integrate new plans, designs, and systems into existing builds
  • Develop system architecture and system design documentation
  • Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of systems engineering management plans and systems integration and test plans
  • Interact with the Government customers regarding Systems Engineering and technical considerations for associated problems, issues, or conflicts

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI poly
  • Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certification, training, or work/military experience
  • Familiarity with monitoring solutions, and enterprise security compliance requirements
  • Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of VMWare infrastructure and the deployment of virtual machine instances
  • Experience with Infrastructure engineering
  • Experience with Enterprise testing & lab environments
  • Experience with Active directory & PKI infrastructure
  • Experience with Network administration
  • Experience with Data center physical server racking and configuration
  • Experience with Linux administration
  • Experience with Infoblox IPAM administration
  • Experience with Procurement testing & approval of enterprise lab tools
