Responsibilities

- Experience with Juniper Networks and Cisco Systems routers, switches, wireless (a plus), and other networking products within these vendor families.
- Analyzes customer requirements and solves unusually complex problems with highly innovative solutions.
- Provides expert knowledge for maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.
- Provides expert knowledge for maintaining network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability.
- Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.
- Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks.
- Designs and builds hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks.
- Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
- May consult with executives and customers to deliver complex network solutions.
- May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
- May serve as a team or task lead.
- Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in network engineering.

- Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
- Experience: 10+ years of related experience
- Technical skills: Juniper Networks
- Security clearance level: Ability to obtain clearance
- US citizenship required
- Role requirements: Hybrid remote/onsite. On call after-hours rotation for operational support
