About the role
- Network Engineer for GDIT responsible for analyzing customer requirements and maintaining network integrity. Contributing to the technical performance in mission-critical government projects while ensuring compliance with policies.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes customer requirements and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate complexity
- Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including load balancers, routers, switches, firewalls, and networks
- Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability
- Coordinates hardware and software acquisition
- Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks
- Supports the design and build of hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
- Create and maintain documentation of networking processes
Requirements
- 2+ years of related experience
- Experience with network and firewall solutions including Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet, F5, and/or Palo Alto
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
