About the role

  • Assisting game design by creating gameplay mechanics at Amplitude Studios, a leading indie strategy game studio based in Paris.

Responsibilities

  • Design game mechanics and systems, proactively anticipate issues and propose solutions
  • Design, implement, and balance game content
  • Iterate on and refine gameplay experiences
  • Produce and/or maintain detailed game design documentation
  • Communicate with programmers, artists, and other members of the design team to create the best possible game systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Bac+3) minimum with a specialization in Game Design or equivalent
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Passion for strategy games and video games
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and interact with a wide range of profiles (programmers, community, artists, etc.)
  • Flexibility and adaptability
