Responsibilities
Independently design and implement institute-wide administrative projects, including documentation and digitization, and provide training for staff on these projects in German and English.
Conduct procurement procedures for centrally required services.
Represent the administrative management in internal and cross-institute committees.
Co-supervise trainees in office management.
Advise staff of the scientific departments on procurement procedures.
Conduct market research and support the preparation of service specifications and tendering criteria.
Coordinate with the central administration of the Forschungsverbund Berlin on procurement matters.
Design and deliver training and information events on procurement and tendering.
Requirements
University degree in business administration or law, or completed vocational training with equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through professional experience.
At least two years of professional experience at universities or public research institutions.
Strong ability to quickly and independently familiarize yourself with new and diverse topics.
Ability to work independently and take responsibility, as well as to collaborate effectively within a team.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Familiarity with working practices in the natural and life sciences.
Experience in planning and implementing larger projects.
Extensive knowledge and experience in public procurement law: VOL/A and VOL/B, UVgO, and European procurement law.
Experience in carrying out procurement processes.
Knowledge and experience in grant and budget law (public funding and budgetary law).
High motivation and ability to work under pressure.
Excellent written and spoken German and English skills.
Proficient use of standard MS Office programs.
Strong IT affinity.
A completed instructor/trainer qualification according to AEVO is an advantage.
