About the role

  • Data Engineer at fundcraft ensuring seamless data movement and storage. Focus on data migrations, ETL maintenance, and collaboration with the Product team for insights.

Responsibilities

  • As a Data Engineer at fundcraft, you will be the primary engine behind our data movement and storage.
  • Your mission is to ensure that data flows seamlessly and accurately across our platform.
  • While you will collaborate with the Product team on analytical insights, your core focus will be the technical execution of data migrations, ETL maintenance, warehouse optimization, and data documentation.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for the Product and Accounting teams to translate business needs into data requirements without oversight.
  • Independently manage the end-to-end migration process for client onboarding including writing, testing, and running Python/SQL scripts.
  • Partner with the team to build and scale our Data Warehouse, assisting in designing data models and optimizing query performance.
  • Take an active role in defining how we document our data assets, maintaining clear data dictionaries and lineage maps.
  • Contribute to the development of our data service API, ensuring it remains a reliable tool for clients and internal platforms.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar technical role.
  • Exhibit strong organisational skills and a rigorous approach to work, managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Possess excellent attention to detail,strong analytical skills and a rigorous approach to data validation, enabling the extraction of meaningful insights from complex datasets and ensuring 100% accuracy on migrated data
  • Approach challenges proactively, demonstrating a dynamic problem-solving mindset that contributes to department success.
  • Manage pressure effectively and remain calm under tight deadlines, ensuring project deliverables are met.
  • Foster a collaborative group environment and contribute positively to overall group culture and success.
