About the role

  • Mid-level project manager responsible for leading large-scale projects in electrical and Smart Buildings. Managing cross-functional teams and ensuring successful execution from conception to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute multiple large-scale projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and progress reports.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, design, procurement, and field operations, to align project execution with customer expectations.
  • Monitor project performance through KPIs, metrics, and financial tracking, ensuring profitability.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key customers, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Conduct regular customer meetings, site visits, and progress reports to maintain engagement.
  • Mediate and resolve escalated customer concerns, ensuring satisfaction and project success.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to support project estimation, customer presentations, and solution development.
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors to ensure cost-effective and high-quality project execution.
  • Oversee project teams, providing guidance, setting expectations, and resolving challenges.
  • Train and mentor junior project managers, field personnel, and subcontractors to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including change orders, financial records, and compliance reports.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to safety, regulatory, and quality assurance standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in electrical, Smart Buildings, BAS, EMS, or construction-related fields.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management).
  • Strong ability to lead project teams, manage schedules, and oversee budgets independently.
  • Experience in customer relationship management, vendor negotiations, and contract oversight.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Docs.
  • Ability to read and interpret contracts, technical drawings, and project schematics.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel and stay overnight up to 25% based on project needs.
  • Experience with EMS/BAS solutions such as Tridium/Niagara, Siemens, Honeywell, or JCI (Preferred).
