Finance Associate role focusing on treasury operations at Freetrade. Responsible for managing cash position, liquidity, and bank account relationships in a fintech environment.
Responsibilities
Own and prepare reporting and analysis of key treasury metrics, including daily monitoring of Freetrade’s cash position, liquidity buffers, and cash movements across multiple bank accounts to support the smooth day-to-day operation of the business.
Support liquidity monitoring, forecasting, and scenario analysis to ensure funding levels remain aligned with business needs.
Assist with the preparation and maintenance of short and medium term cash flow forecasts.
Support the ongoing maintenance of bank accounts, mandates, signatories, and relationships with banking partners and payment providers.
Reconcile transactions in bank accounts to internal records as part of the month-end close process.
Support with accruals, prepayments, and other month-end Finance processes. Assist with reporting and analysis to support decision-making across the Finance team.

Requirements
Strong academics with at least a 2:1 degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
Keen to begin studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA or CIMA).
Proficient using Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel, with confidence working with financial data.
Strong numerical capability and attention to detail, particularly around cash movements and reconciliations.
Curious and proactive, with an interest in financial systems, controls, and how treasury supports the wider business.
Clear and confident communicator, able to engage with stakeholders and escalate issues when needed.
Well organised, able to prioritise workload and thrive in a fast-paced fintech environment.
