Responsibilities
Work on innovative research projects with a focus on integrating AI and connectivity technologies into digital assistance systems and solutions for process optimization
Execute industry projects: address industrial challenges within digitally integrated production by developing and implementing pilot projects and transformation strategies in close collaboration with industry partners
Identify industry needs: analyze industrial issues related to the introduction of AI systems in SMEs and large enterprises
Shape and demonstrate forward-looking technologies: further develop and test technologies for production optimization based on industry requirements and integrate research results into practical demonstrators
Project acquisition
Publish and present research results through papers and presentations at conferences and professional events
Requirements
Completed university degree in Information Technology in Mechanical Engineering, Technical Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physical Engineering Sciences, or a related discipline
Excellent organizational skills demonstrated by structured time management, a high degree of independence and carefulness in task execution
Strong analytical skills, characterized by systematic problem solving and data- and fact-based decision making
Excellent teamwork and communication skills in German (min. C1) and English, both written and spoken
Solid software development knowledge, in particular programming with Python and other advanced programming languages
Prior experience in AI, especially in multi-agent systems, generative AI or reinforcement learning, is desirable
Interest in academic research, digital solutions for production engineering and in solving customer-specific problems for SMEs and large enterprises
