About the role

  • Manual QA Tester ensuring software quality for ServiceChannel via comprehensive testing and collaboration with Agile teams.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the quality and reliability of ServiceChannel through comprehensive manual testing
  • Analyze functional specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria to derive test coverage
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and test cases covering functional, UI, regression, integration, usability, and exploratory testing
  • Execute manual test cases across different environments and platforms (web/mobile)
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover unexpected issues and edge-cases
  • Detect, log, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, expected vs actual results, severity/priority, screenshots/logs
  • Retest resolved defects and confirm fixes
  • Design and execute regression test suites to validate new changes and maintain product stability
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies: backlog grooming, sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, UX designers, and stakeholders
  • Provide timely and clear test status reports—coverage metrics, defect trends, and risk insights
  • Advocate for best QA practices and contribute to QA process refinement
  • Stay informed of new tools, techniques, and domain-specific testing nuances

Requirements

  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in manual testing across software environments
  • Demonstrated ability to design and execute test cases, scenarios, and regression suites
  • Familiarity with issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) and test management platforms (e.g., TestRail)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL/databases, browser dev-tools, HTTP/request validation tools (e.g., Postman)
  • Proficient in black-box, boundary-value, smoke, sanity, and usability testing
  • Strong exploratory testing and UI/UX validation skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Clear and concise written/verbal communication
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced Agile teams
