Responsibilities
The Tech Lead / Data Architect will be the technical reference for building and evolving the company’s data and analytics architecture, ensuring the evolution of the data platform, scalability, governance, performance, and reliability, with a strong role in the “Horizonte Data-Driven Program — Data Intelligence and Predictive Insights”.
This professional will be responsible for directing Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science teams, ensuring optimization of the data foundation and the delivery of actionable insights.
Define and evolve end-to-end data architecture (ingestion, transformation, storage, semantic layer, and consumption).
Provide technical leadership to the Data Analytics team, guiding best practices, standards, and architectural decisions.
Design and maintain analytical data models (Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse, Data Marts).
Ensure data quality, governance, security, and observability.
Lead the definition and standardization of the semantic layer (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SSAS Tabular).
Support decisions on scalability, performance, and cost of data solutions.
Conduct technical reviews, POCs, and build vs. buy decisions.
Act as guardian of best practices: version control (Git); CI/CD for data; observability and monitoring.
Serve as a technical mentor, promoting the team’s professional development.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields. Postgraduate degree or MBA in Data Architecture, Business Intelligence, or related areas is a plus.
Tools/Platforms: Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS), Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Power BI. Knowledge of other data platforms (NoSQL, Big Data) and integration buses (MuleSoft) is a plus.
Skills: Technical leadership, ability to operate with strategic and tactical vision, proactivity, strong analytical and communication skills, and ease working with multidisciplinary teams.
Certifications: Microsoft certifications (Azure Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Database Administrator) and/or data architecture certifications are highly valued.
