About the role

• Senior Business Analyst supporting a large-scale investment platform transformation initiative for FormativGroup. Collaborating with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Investment Teams to design and implement solutions across asset classes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Portfolio Managers, Analysts, and SMEs to gather and document detailed business and functional requirements.
• Act as a trusted advisor to front office stakeholders by understanding portfolio management, trading strategies, and investment decision-making processes.
• Lead workshops to map current-state to future-state workflows, improving efficiency, scalability, and data integrity.
• Work closely with technology and data teams to ensure accurate and reliable data across systems.
• Drive initiatives across cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery of requirements, status reporting, and risk mitigation.
• Support UAT, test case development, and validation of reporting outputs.

Requirements

• 6+ years of Business Analyst experience within capital markets, asset management, or investment management environments.
• Strong experience working with front office teams (Portfolio Managers, Traders, Analysts) as well as Mid and Back office teams.
• Must have hands-on experience with investment platform BlackRock Aladdin - a plus would be knowledge with Charles River (CRD), Bloomberg, or eFront.
• Deep understanding of front office workflows including portfolio management, order management, trading, and trade lifecycle.
• Experience across asset classes such as equities, fixed income, FX, and derivatives (ETDs/OTCs).
• Strong knowledge of portfolio construction, rebalancing, risk analytics, and performance attribution.
• Proven ability to translate investment processes into system requirements and workflow designs.
• Experience with IBOR systems and front office data models - preferred with ABOR and PBOR as well.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with both technical teams and investment professionals.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior front office users.
