Systems Simulation & Robustness Engineer designing and validating complex vehicle features using simulation methodologies. Focused on ensuring feature robustness working in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
Lead the development of system models using Matlab, Python and Magic Draw to define logical architectures and behavior.
Develop and execute complex control strategies using Matlab Simulink & Stateflow to validate logic before implementation.
Perform SiL (Software in Loop) testing to verify feature performance against requirements early in the design cycle.
Champion the Failure Mode Avoidance process; lead and facilitate DFMEA workshops to identify risks and define mitigation strategies.
Apply 6 Sigma (DMAIC/DFSS) principles to solve complex engineering problems and improve system reliability.
Analyze warranty and quality metrics (GQRS, AWS) to drive continuous improvement in current and future designs.
Develop and maintain Behavior Driven Development (BDD) scripts using Gherkin syntax to translate requirements into executable tests.
Create and manage Step Definitions using the Behave package in Python.
Ensure traceability between requirements, architecture, and test cases using tools like JAMA and Jira.
Define and analyze Electrical Architectures, including ECU topology, sensor/actuator interfaces, and signal distribution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align Unified Backlog priorities and manage dependencies in an Agile/Scrum environment.
