Responsibilities
Identify design cost opportunities, reduced content, and overall cost efficiencies.
Drive product cost reduction with quality while balancing complexity and weight
Collaborate/work with team members and suppliers to deliver cost savings, meet program milestones, and develop effective workplans
Drive cross-functional issue resolution (including purchasing, program, finance, quality, manufacturing, STA, suppliers etc.). Support escalation when needed.
Coordinate with Core Teams for system optimization opportunities and manage change.
Lead trade-off decisions, determine the business case, ensure a positive rate of return for Ford
Deliver all TVM projects on time with quality, meeting Program Milestones, and PPAP requirements
Benchmarking, develop effective workplans, calculate TARR (Time Adjusted Rate of Return), create program 2-pagers, lead Mega Project process
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Mechanical engineering
Must have the knowledge of Systems Engineering Fundamentals and design thinking
Demonstrates critical thinking, initiative, decisiveness, flexibility, knowledge, and vision
Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented, global environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (open, clear, and inclusive)
Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to deliver results
