About the role

  • Shipping and Receiving Manager responsible for logistics operations in Ford's Electric Vehicles team. Ensuring timely processing of materials and optimizing workflows in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the shipping and receiving department.
  • Ensuring that all incoming materials are processed accurately and all outgoing orders are dispatched on time, meeting quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Optimizing warehouse workflows, managing a diverse team, and maintaining a safe, organized environment.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP software (such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics). Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are often essential for tracking metrics.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Certifications: Forklift operator certification is typically required. Professional certifications (like APICS or CSCP) are a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
