Industrial Engineer supporting forward model and capacity studies in Powertrain Operations. Collaborating with teams to achieve labor targets and optimize process efficiency.
Responsibilities
Support forward model and capacity studies for all milestones including Direct Labor and Indirect Labor in Powertrain Operations.
Lead new model labor optimization efforts to achieve labor targets, through benchmarking (internal and external), target setting, tracking process change, and replicate across programs/Plants.
Assist with operator allocations, cycle line layouts, plant rebalances, line speed changes, time studies, throughput issues, and launch support.
Accurately maintain and deliver required IE documentation (Labor Glidepath, PHM, Program 1-Pager, Plant Line speed, APT Assessment, etc.).
Work with plants to complete & evaluate time studies using MODAPTS as the measurement tool for work standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical pref)
At least 2-3 years of Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing operations experience
Open to travel
Knowledge of Time studies, setting up workstations, line balancing
Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc...)
