About the role

  • Industrial Engineer supporting forward model and capacity studies in Powertrain Operations. Collaborating with teams to achieve labor targets and optimize process efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Support forward model and capacity studies for all milestones including Direct Labor and Indirect Labor in Powertrain Operations.
  • Lead new model labor optimization efforts to achieve labor targets, through benchmarking (internal and external), target setting, tracking process change, and replicate across programs/Plants.
  • Assist with operator allocations, cycle line layouts, plant rebalances, line speed changes, time studies, throughput issues, and launch support.
  • Accurately maintain and deliver required IE documentation (Labor Glidepath, PHM, Program 1-Pager, Plant Line speed, APT Assessment, etc.).
  • Work with plants to complete & evaluate time studies using MODAPTS as the measurement tool for work standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical pref)
  • At least 2-3 years of Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing operations experience
  • Open to travel
  • Knowledge of Time studies, setting up workstations, line balancing
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc...)
  • Even better, you may have...
  • Plant Industrial Engineering & Manufacturing Process operations experience preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel (Advanced), Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience with MODAPTS preferred
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skill
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Work well under pressure
