Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Analyse financial performance and identify trends and variances.
- Support scenario planning to evaluate financial outcomes under different business conditions.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Develop and streamline financial systems and processes.
- Develop dashboards and visualisations for real-time performance insights.
- Ensure compliance with financial procedures and internal controls.
- Provide adhoc support to the finance team.
Requirements
- The successful applicant will be an important part of the finance team and will be involved with:
- Prepare and analyse financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Analyse financial performance and identify trends and variances with good collaboration with each of the department heads.
- Analyse variances between actual results and the business plan/forecast, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Support scenario planning to evaluate potential financial outcomes under different business conditions.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Develop and streamline financial systems and processes for improved financial management including automation of monthly reporting.
- Develop dashboards and visualisations to provide real-time performance insights to decision makers.
- Ensure compliance with financial procedures and internal controls.
- Adhoc support to the finance team including audit requirements.
- **Skills/Attributes/Experience**
- Preferably a qualified accountant
- Good communication skills to liaise with other departments and senior leaders.
- Proficient in the use of financial software and analysis tools.
- Organised with an attention to detail.
- Problem solving approach.
