About the role

Responsibilities
- Central point of contact for procurement activities within a large-scale project
- Active supplier research, qualification/auditing, evaluation and development according to project specifications
- Requesting, reviewing and comparing quotations
- Contract and price negotiations with national and international suppliers
- Drafting service and works contracts considering various aspects (Make-or-Buy, TCO, quality, delivery capability, compliance rules, etc.)
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies for projects to ensure timely and cost-efficient sourcing
- Monitoring schedules and taking responsibility for active expediting
- Initiating appropriate measures to meet delivery dates and schedules
- Preparing and conducting supplier visits and audits (with QA/SQE) and participating in factory and site acceptance tests (FAT and SAT – supplier side)
- Risk management and developing measures to secure the supply chain
Requirements
- Several years of relevant professional experience as a project buyer in plant/industrial construction, piping, process engineering plants in the semiconductor/photovoltaics industry or in the pharmaceutical sector
- Proven track record in project procurement (purchasing materials and services)
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken (German at least C1; English B2–C1, preferably business/negotiation fluent)
- Confident application of contract law (BGB/VOB)
- Basic knowledge of customs law and foreign trade regulations
