About the role

Responsibilities
- Establishment, leadership and operational management of the new FASSMER site in Stralsund
- Ensure smooth operation of all buildings, equipment and infrastructure
- Plan and oversee maintenance, repair and modernization measures
- Responsible for budget planning, cost control and investments
- Organize compliance with all legal and operational requirements (occupational safety, fire protection, DGUV regulations)
- Overall responsibility for production organization in ship hull construction, including quality, schedules and costs
- Introduction of modern manufacturing methods (e.g. Lean Production, continuous process optimization) and continuous improvement of processes and workflows
- Lead, build and further develop the site team
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture/Shipbuilding, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience managing production sites or manufacturing units, ideally in shipbuilding or a maritime environment
- Solid knowledge of technical and infrastructural facility management as well as production planning, occupational safety and contract management
- Experience in project management, particularly in infrastructure or production setup projects
- Confident use of ERP systems and MS Office
- Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken; strong English skills for technical and business communication/documentation
- Strong leadership skills, excellent communication, organizational talent and assertiveness
