Responsibilities
Responsibilities in the field of shipboard utility systems, including heating systems, fresh water systems (including generation), wastewater/sewage systems (including treatment), bilge, ballast and fire-fighting systems, special extinguishing systems (gas, water mist, sprinkler, foam, monitors) and compressed air systems
Development of technical concepts and preparation of specifications for approval and procurement processes
Sizing and calculations of ship service systems
Creation and maintenance of schematic piping diagrams based on construction specifications and classification society rules, in cooperation with our product design team
Technical coordination with customers and suppliers, evaluation of offers and preparation of decision proposals
Technical risk and cost assessments
Collaboration with other design departments and manufacturing
Requirements
Completed technical or scientific degree or certified technician qualification (m/f/d)
Professional experience in the relevant field and experience with integration in shipbuilding desirable
Experience using CAD software for schematic drafting and good MS Office skills
Good written and spoken English relevant to the technical field
Confident manner, ability to work independently, assertiveness and strong communication and teamwork skills
