ADAS Calibration and Validation Engineer developing automotive ADAS technology at AVL. Focused on vehicle systems testing and validation for automated driving solutions.
Responsibilities
Work with other team members and customers’ engineers to deliver ADAS & AD projects according to plan
Develop test plans and test cases for ADAS features, ensuring appropriate requirements coverage and traceability back to use cases
Plan, conduct and evaluate vehicle and systems tests in virtual environments, on test tracks and public roads
Develop calibration for ADAS features and functions
Identify and develop use cases for ADAS
Develop, define, and refine requirements for ADAS features (from feature level down to component level) as well as performance KPIs
Report and present projects activities
Work with customers to understand and track project milestones and deliverables dates
Requirements
Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent
Experience with vehicle integration, tests planning, vehicle and systems testing in virtual environments, on test tracks, and public roads
Experience with ADAS features calibration, vehicle testing, data collection and post-processing
Awareness of systems development lifecycle
Understanding of vehicle control modules, E/E architecture, and vehicle systems
Good communication skills in written and verbal English
Excellent organizational and time management skills
High motivation and proactive attitude towards learning and new technologies
Flexibility to travel to suppliers, customers, other AVL offices
ADAS/AD systems engineering experience (preferable)
Knowledge of ADAS regulations and standards (UN-ECE and ISO) (preferable)
Knowledge of C++, Python and/or ROS (preferable)
Knowledge of simulation and validation tools (e.g. CarMaker) (preferable)
Experience using Vector tools (e.g. CANalyzer, CANape) or equivalent (preferable)
