About the role
- SAP Project Manager leading the delivery of SAP projects across various modules. Collaborating with business leaders to ensure project success while overseeing budgets and resource allocation.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of SAP projects, including scope definition, planning, execution, and closure
- Manage project budgets, timelines, resource allocation, and overall project governance
- Drive SAP implementation, upgrade, and rollout projects (preferably S/4HANA)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business users, functional consultants, developers, and testing teams
- Ensure alignment with business goals and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies; implement effective mitigation and resolution plans
- Oversee change management and ensure adherence to organizational and SAP standards
- Ensure quality assurance processes are followed across all project phases
- Provide leadership and guidance to the project team to ensure timely delivery of key milestones
- Coordinate with global teams and vendors to ensure seamless project integration
- Prepare and present project status reports and dashboards to senior management
- Continuously improve project delivery frameworks and support SAP governance processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred)
- 10+ years of total experience, with 5+ years managing SAP projects
- Proven track record of successful SAP implementations, upgrades, or rollouts
- Hands-on experience with S/4HANA projects (preferred)
- Strong understanding of SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, QM, HCM, etc.) and cross-functional integration
- Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager, Cloud ALM, and testing tools such as Jira, Tosca, HP ALM, or SAP Test Suite
- Knowledge of project management methodologies – Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Certifications preferred: PMP, Prince2, or SAP Activate Project Manager
- Experience managing onshore-offshore delivery models and vendor coordination
- Exposure to budget forecasting, resource planning, and portfolio-level reporting is an advantage
