About the role

  • Safety Engineer responsible for security analysis and risk assessments in railway projects. Managing compliance to safety standards and producing safety documentation in Switzerland.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for safety analyses and risk assessments using appropriate methodologies (PHA, FMECA/FMEA, FTA...)
  • Management and updating of hazard registers and safety requirements
  • Compliance with CENELEC standards and regulations: EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129
  • Production, review, and validation of required RAMS deliverables
  • Management of the preparation of the safety dossier
  • Preparation, structuring, and maintenance of the complete project safety dossier
  • Management of the entire assessment process with independent assessment/certification bodies
  • Coordination of corrective actions and technical discussions with evaluators

Requirements

  • Engineering degree or equivalent in electrical, mechanical, automation, systems engineering, or safety/RAMS
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in railway safety engineering
  • Good understanding of TCMS, traction, auxiliaries, and doors subsystems
  • Strong command of PHA, HAZOP, FMECA, FMEA, and FTA methodologies
  • In-depth knowledge of EN 50126 / EN 50128 / EN 50129 standards
  • Professional working proficiency in English required
