About the role
- Senior Legal Counsel at Exotec managing international contracts and advising on legal matters. Collaborating with various teams and contributing to legal digitization efforts.
Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate international contracts (clients, suppliers, partnerships…)
- Advise our teams on issues arising during contract performance (interpretation, claims, pre-litigation…)
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our templates, guidelines and procedures
- Work closely with other Corporate teams (Finance, HR, CSR…) and internal stakeholders (Sales, Procurement, Product…)
- Train Exotec teams on contractual and legal best practices
- Contribute to the digitization of the department (artificial intelligence, contract management…)
Requirements
- Master’s degree in business law or contract law
- Dual background appreciated: business school, Sciences Po, and/or bar school
- 5–10 years’ experience: ideally an initial period at a law firm, complemented by in-house legal department experience
- Experience in an international environment
- Fluent English, written and spoken (the majority of contract negotiations take place in English)
- Strong command of contract drafting and technique
- Ability to lead contract negotiations autonomously
- Agility, attention to detail, rigor and excellent organizational skills
- Clear communicator, comfortable with diverse interlocutors
- The role is open to candidates not based in the Lille metropolitan area, provided they can be on-site two days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday)
