About the role
- Senior Manager leading record to report processes for finance and actuarial teams at EXL. Translating business needs into technical specifications with team collaboration and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Review regulatory reports and translate business requirements into clear instructions for developers working on Dataiku and related models.
- Work with finance, actuarial, and operations teams to understand data, cost hierarchies, and insurance premium flows.
- Document and explain requirements, ensuring business logic is accurately built into systems.
- Support change projects across Record-to-Report (R2R) and reporting processes.
- Collaborate with SMEs to validate data and identify improvements.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10–15 years’ experience in a business analysis or finance role, ideally in insurance or financial services.
- Accounting knowledge essential – strong understanding of costs, hierarchies, and premium flows.
- Experience with actuarial data, Alteryx, or similar data tools.
- SQL skills a plus.
- Experience in change or process improvement work.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
