About the role

  • FPGA Designer working in a hybrid environment to define and support high-speed circuits in telecom. Collaborating with diverse teams and exploring FPGA technologies for optimal design solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Define, implement, test and support FPGA designs
  • Study industry standards related to communication protocols
  • Explore FPGA technologies to guide solution choices
  • Define circuit architectures to be implemented and design low-level FPGA modules
  • Code blocks implementing various high-speed, high-performance protocols
  • Compile designs using EDA tools and optimize circuits
  • Perform functional verification of FPGA designs and circuits in simulation and on target boards
  • Collaborate with hardware design, software development and verification teams

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in an FPGA design role
  • VHDL required, HLS a plus
  • Questa/Modelsim required, cocotb a plus
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Perl, TCL)
  • Knowledge of C and C++
  • Practical knowledge of verification methodologies
  • Knowledge of telecommunications principles (Fiber, Ethernet, LTE, 5G, etc.)
  • Knowledge of server infrastructure technologies, virtualization and continuous integration tools
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodology
