About the role

• Trainee/Junior BI/DB Developer at EveryMatrix, focusing on data processing, warehousing, and integrations in Lviv.

Responsibilities

• Data Processing: Develop real-time data processing and aggregations.
• Data Warehousing: Create and modify data marts to enhance the data warehouse.
• Integrations: Manage both internal and external integrations.
• Reporting: Build and maintain various types of reports to support business decisions.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field.
• Fundamentals: Solid understanding of Computer Science (Software Engineering, Algorithms, Operating Systems, Networking, etc.).
• RDBMS Mastery: Strong knowledge of at least one RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL), specifically:
• Database internals
• Query optimization
• Indexing
• Partitioning
• Data Engineering Experience: Practical experience with ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience in creating or supporting Data Warehouses.
• Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) platform.
• Language: English proficiency at an Intermediate level or higher (reading, writing, speaking).
• Nice to have: Cloud Warehousing: Knowledge of Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse Analytics, AWS Redshift, or Snowflake.
• Coding: Programming skills in Python or Java.
• Tooling: Experience with Apache Airflow and Apache NiFi.
