About the role

Responsibilities
- 3-year training to become an Operating Theatre Assistant
- Work area: the hospital's operating department and the outpatient surgery center, as well as in partner hospitals
- Independently organize and coordinate workflows in the functional departments: outpatient clinic, endoscopy and central sterilization
- Prepare and care for patients in the operating area
- Prepare instruments, materials and equipment
- Theoretical training component in cooperation with the Hanse Institute Oldenburg
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- 14-day internship in operating room nursing
- One of the following educational qualifications:
- • At least 10 years of schooling with a secondary school certificate (Sekundarabschluss I), or
- • Successfully completed training as a nursing assistant, or
- • A state-regulated completed training of at least one year in nursing assistance or geriatric care, or
- • A lower secondary school leaving certificate (Hauptschulabschluss) or equivalent school qualification together with a successfully completed vocational training in the healthcare sector (e.g. Medical Assistant)
