About the role

  • Field Antenna Engineer supporting and maintaining operational readiness of LEO tracking antennas for Eutelsat Group. Collaborating with Site Management and Vendors on ongoing projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support operation, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of field-related trouble calls
  • Issues associated with earth station and satellite network systems
  • Test, troubleshooting, commissioning, and continuing support of Satellite Network Portals (SNP) build out and operation
  • Support installation, commissioning, and integration with OneWeb Partners
  • Knowledge of rack integration, cable fabrication, cable terminations, and interconnect wiring diagrams
  • Optimizing earth station antennas performing antenna patterns, G/T, and overall functionality
  • Ability to configure and test IP-based network equipment and peripherals

Requirements

  • System-level understanding of satellite RF communications including Ku-Band and Ka
  • Familiarity with LEO tracking antennas, Antenna Control Units (ACUs), transmitters, antennas, antenna controls, motors, resolvers, LNAs, encoders, 3-phase power, signal routing, fiber optics
  • Basic knowledge of network communications
  • Ability to read schematic, technical documents and wiring diagrams
  • Create technical procedures
  • Experience in using a ticketing system and documenting work
