About the role
- Legal Counsel managing contract negotiations and compliance in a dynamic environment for North American business units. Collaborating with sales and legal teams to optimize processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- You will primarily support the sales teams (but not limited to them) across the North American business unit by:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of contracts related to advertising sales
- Drafting termination letters
- Supporting the creation and update of templates
- Assisting with the deployment of a new tool
- Supporting migration from one platform to another
- Assisting in the development of guidelines, procedures and training sessions
- Ability to translate legal language into clear commercial language
- You will be responsible for regularly providing legal updates and briefing notes on new regulations
- Supporting the team on any project
Requirements
- Master’s degree (Master 2) in Business Law
- 1 to 2 years of experience in reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts
- Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize information
- Comfortable handling confidential information
- Team player, willing to help
- Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) is required
- Knowledge of English is required as the role involves regular collaboration and communication with teams, clients and vendors outside Quebec, and the use of tools and documents available only in English
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
