About the role

  • Localization Operations Specialist ensuring smooth localization operations at envelio. Collaborating with external language service providers for multilingual updates and improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and managing external localization cycles: You strategically plan assignments and ensure timely, high-quality deliveries.
  • Coordination of our language service providers: You manage the operational collaboration with our LSPs, including handovers, queries and QA loops.
  • Optimizing our localization toolchain: You continuously optimize the process chain between our localization platform CrowdIn and the integrated tools (GitLab, Figma) to increase the scalability of our workflows.
  • Further development of our localization processes: You propose technical or procedural improvements and contribute to the ongoing development of our localization strategy.
  • Handling wording requests: You perform copy editing and translation of strings on our platform, from small adjustments to entire apps. You collaborate with teams such as Design, Product Management and Engineering to arrive at the best solution.

Requirements

  • You hold a university degree in a field such as Language Technology, Translation Studies, Technical Communication or Terminology Management.
  • You are proficient with TMS platforms such as Trados, Phrase or Lokalise.
  • Experience with CrowdIn is a plus.
  • Ideally, you have prior experience in localization or translation management.
  • Project management experience from other sectors is also an advantage.
  • Preferably you have a basic understanding of development environments (e.g. PyCharm, VS Code) and version control systems (e.g. GitLab, GitHub), or you are willing to learn these tools.
  • Through studies and, if applicable, initial projects, internships or positions, you have developed solid translation skills and are able to work into specialized subject areas for technical translations.
  • Your working languages for translation practice are German and English.
  • You are able to work both strategically and operationally.
  • You enjoy continuously developing in a cross-functional environment and learning new skills.
  • You want to contribute to building a growing area.
