About the role

  • Senior Analyst in Market Intelligence at a construction materials company. Candidate responsible for strategic analysis and product portfolio management.

Responsibilities

  • Co-responsible for understanding, analyzing, critiquing and presenting the P&L results of the Aggregates and Concrete business at various levels of detail for monthly executive committees (Sales, Operations, Controllership);
  • Define volume, mix and positioning strategies based on macroeconomic assumptions, regional trends, construction sector behavior and commercial outlooks;
  • Project the behavior of the Aggregates and Concrete markets over short-, medium- and long-term horizons by integrating market data, sector analyses and contributions from regional teams;
  • Manage the product portfolio for Aggregates and Concrete lines, proposing continuous actions to maximize profitability, optimize mix and identify opportunities for expansion, specialization or discontinuation;
  • Lead business cases for new products, new aggregate quarries and new concrete plants, partnering with R&D, Operations, Production Planning and Control (PCP), Sales, M&A and Controllership;
  • Manage the development or expansion of the portfolio (fractions, mixes, special concretes), including technical requirements, positioning and communications to stakeholders;
  • Be responsible, together with regional sales teams, for defining the monthly rolling forecast, connecting short-term forecasts to medium- and long-term strategies;
  • Support the Product Marketing leadership in the annual Budget cycle, 5-year Strategic Planning and 10-year Strategic Dialogue;
  • Act as the focal point for market analyses, market share, regional trends and competitiveness in the aggregates and concrete businesses;
  • Prepare, validate and publish the company's official market share figures, aligned with methodologies and data from relevant entities and authorities;
  • Conduct competitor studies, sector movements, demand clustering, pricing and opportunities for technical differentiation;
  • Maintain full knowledge of the operations footprint (quarries, aggregate plants, concrete plants), production capacities, constraints and logistical synergies;
  • Participate in operational efficiency, sustainability and circular economy initiatives, including logistics optimization, reduction of environmental impacts, use of alternative materials and technical innovation;
  • Develop brand and product positioning in partnership with Marketing, Integrated Communication and Corporate Communication teams;
  • Prepare strategic materials for board committees, the Board of Directors, corporate forums and executive meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields;
  • Advanced Excel;
  • Advanced PowerPoint;
  • Knowledge of profitability analysis and finance concepts;
  • Experience with statistical modeling;
  • Ability to solve complex problems and generate data-driven recommendations;
  • MBA or postgraduate specialization in Marketing, Data Science or Finance;
  • Advanced English.
