About the role

  • Accounting Associate managing core accounting operations at finance company, responsible for accounting, payroll, and expense management within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accounting operations for revenue and accounts receivable
  • Handle accounts payable processes
  • Perform and review monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements
  • Drive improvements in financial close process
  • Be the primary accounting lead with external CPA firms
  • Review monthly accounting activity by Mexico accounting team
  • Build and maintain Excel workbooks for reconciliations
  • Manage bi-weekly payroll inputs
  • Manage corporate credit card accounts

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • 3+ years of experience working in QuickBooks
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of accrual and cash-basis accounting
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred
  • An accounting degree is a must, CPA is a plus
