About the role

  • Accounting Associate performing key accounting operations at 5. Collaborating with internal teams and external CPA firms for accurate financial reporting and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accounting operations for revenue and accounts receivable
  • Handle accounts payable processes
  • Perform and review reconciliations
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements
  • Drive continuous improvements in financial close process
  • Serve as primary accounting lead
  • Review monthly accounting activity prepared by the Mexico accounting team

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • 3+ years of experience working in QuickBooks
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of accrual and cash-basis accounting
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Clear and professional communication
  • Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred
  • An accounting degree is a must, CPA is a plus
