Data Steward responsible for data quality management and analytics collaboration at Kimberly-Clark. Supporting cross-functional teams and driving adoption of data sources within a performance-oriented culture.
Responsibilities
Serve as a subject matter expert for designated data domain(s), including data sources, meaning, usage, and use cases.
Collaborate with key data users to develop business logic for IT team to implement in systems for automated ongoing monitoring to proactively catch data quality issues before they impact downstream processes.
Advise and develop materials to inform stakeholders of self-service data availability.
Understand and advise how to pull data from relevant databases and data platforms.
Provide guidance to Analytics Product Manager and Data Scientists to support their use of data.
Own and maintain field-level explanations for data sources, including how each data field can be used to address business questions.
Partner with Product Managers, Centers of Excellence, and others to drive adoption of data sources across relevant business areas.
Understand scope of contracted data & services including authorized usage; supports renewal & RFP discussions.
Communicate data updates & changes from data vendors out to organization.
Manage data security access rules/controls, assess security risks on shared data compared to Contractual, Legal, and/or Financial restrictions.
Document data catalogues and drive aligned Business definitions in a matrix organization to fulfill metadata needs for mature analytics platforms.
Own and maintain quality rules for respective data domain and/or Analytics products.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related technical field.
3+ years of business experience with at least 3 years of cross-functional Supply Chain experience preferred.
Prior experience working in data science, analytics and/or data modeling across relevant supply chain domains.
Understanding of database structure (systems and data) and familiarity with relevant Kimberly-Clark ERP platforms (S4, Kinaxis, SMOM, WMS, TMS, etc.)
Experience creating automated data quality management rules
Advanced analytics, data visualization, and reporting dashboard design and development experience.
Ability to project manage, drive toward deadlines
Fluency in English.
