Responsibilities
- Analyze accounting data and generate comprehensive financial reports
- Oversee cross-functional teams involved in Intercompany Accounting processes
- Ensure seamless day-to-day Record-to-Report operations and compliance
- Participate in strategic reviews and audits
- Champion the development of team members
- Maintain thorough knowledge of Emerson’s CP&P, financial accounting policies, GAAP, internal controls, and statutory reporting requirements
- Perform journal entry, reconciliation, and reports review
- Address and resolve issues from Specialists and employees
- Lead Record‑to‑Report operations by developing objectives and tracking mechanisms
- Support new business implementations
- Participate in audit activities and collaborate with internal auditors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Business Partners
- Conduct employee forums and team meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, preferably with Certified Public Accountant license.
- At least 5 years of professional experience, including positions of increasing responsibility in Accounting or Process Operations within shared business services.
- Working knowledge of ERP and Hyperion Financial Management.
- Solid technical and analytical skills in Finance, General Accounting, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), SOX, IAS and IFRS.
