About the role
- System Engineer leading embedded software development projects at embeX, working collaboratively to create customized solutions for demanding systems. Engaging with clients to gather requirements and guide software implementation.
Responsibilities
- In dialogue with our customers you determine the system requirements and prepare the requirements specification
- You contribute your expertise to develop implementation concepts and define the software architecture for the chosen controller platform
- You take technical leadership of the software team, implement embedded software in C/C++, and commission it on the target hardware
- You plan system verification and test the software for functionality and robustness
- Together with the project team you estimate development projects and support the preparation of commercial proposals
- You work in a team with development and test engineers as well as the Functional Safety and Cybersecurity departments. With your expertise you design innovative, tailored solutions for our customers
Requirements
- Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems Engineering, or a comparable qualification
- At least 3 years of professional experience in embedded software development with C/C++
- Strong analytical skills and a systematic approach
- Experience in requirements engineering and software design
- Knowledge of fieldbus protocols, IoT technologies, and functional safety is an advantage
- Good German and English language skills
- Creativity and enjoyment of working in a team
